Mecka AI, a robotics data company with offices in New York City and Toronto, said on October 7, 2026 that it had closed a $60 million Series B round led by Sequoia Capital, BetaKit reported.

New investors in the round included Nvidia, the venture arms of Microsoft and Qualcomm, and Samsung, alongside returning backers Kindred Ventures, Framework Ventures and Neo. Individual participants included DoorDash chief executive Tony Xu, former ServiceNow and Snowflake chief executive Frank Slootman, and Milan Kovac, who previously led Tesla's Optimus program.

The two-year-old company gathers first-person sensor and iPhone footage from settings such as homes, kitchens, chemistry labs, metal fabrication shops and leather workshops, then converts it into training data for humanoid and other robots. That kind of material cannot be collected from the open web the way text and images used to train language models can. Mecka said the money will go toward data infrastructure, its internal research group and a commercial robot deployment layer.

Mecka said it passed a $100 million run-rate in June 2026 and projected $300 million by the end of the year. TechCrunch reported in September 2026 that the round valued the company at roughly $500 million. Earlier in 2026, Mecka bought Vancouver-based Docula and disclosed $60 million in Series A financing raised across two tranches.
