Axiom Solutions International Raises $2 Billion in Week's Top U.S. Round
The Flex spinout led Crunchbase's list of the largest U.S. startup rounds announced from October 3 to October 9, ahead of TypeSafe AI and Oratomic.

Axiom Solutions International landed $2 billion in new financing, the biggest U.S. startup round announced from October 3 to October 9, Crunchbase News reported. Axiom is an Austin-based business in cloud and power infrastructure that was spun out of Flex, a manufacturing services provider.
General Catalyst and Koch Equity put in the money as a strategic investment, purchasing Axiom shares held by Flex. The deal values the company at $37.5 billion on an enterprise basis at the outset. Flex said it plans to split Axiom off as an independently listed company in early 2027.
Second on the list was TypeSafe AI of San Francisco, maker of an AI model called Jev. The company took in $870 million, Bloomberg reported, with Andreessen Horowitz the biggest backer and Sequoia Capital also in the round. The valuation was reportedly $7.5 billion.
Oratomic, a Pasadena, California, quantum computing startup, raised $475 million in a round led by six firms, among them Arch Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures and Bezos Expeditions. SignSplit of New York emerged from stealth with a $400 million seed round that values it at $1 billion.
Vinci and Atomic Machines each raised $250 million. Voltus brought in $225 million, while Type One Energy, Ledgebrook and Arena each secured $200 million.
