Dropbox has released a connector that lets Meta's Muse assistant work directly with files stored in a user's Dropbox account, Small Business Trends reported on October 13, 2026.

The integration is aimed at routine administrative work. A business owner can ask Muse to onboard a new client using materials already saved in Dropbox, and the assistant can create a customer folder, issue file requests for missing information and draft a welcome note, according to the report. "With the Dropbox connector enabled, Muse can use those materials to identify the required steps, information, and project milestones," a company representative said.

Other uses described include drafting a week of social posts and video descriptions from stored brand guidelines and campaign plans, and scanning active projects for missing client inputs, upcoming deliverables and pending decisions.

Muse requires permission to reach Dropbox files, and the system asks for confirmation before actions that change content, such as creating or deleting files. Small Business Trends noted that owners should review how sensitive material is handled and allow for a learning curve.

The connector supports English-language users in the United States and Canada and is included across all Muse plans. Users enable it from the settings menu in Muse and authorize access to their Dropbox account.
