MileageWise founder and chief executive Akos Barazsy described the mileage-tracking company's product lines and its U.S. growth plans in an interview published by Pulse 2.0 on October 13, 2026.
Barazsy said the business traces to 2001, when he started RoadRecord, a mileage-log product that became the category leader in Hungary. The company launched mobile apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone by 2013, moved to a web-based dashboard in 2018, and entered the U.S. market as MileageWise in 2020.
The company sells two product lines: an app that records trips automatically and sorts business from personal drives, and a retroactive product that imports Google Timeline data to help users rebuild past mileage records for tax or reimbursement purposes. Barazsy said users can choose tracked routes or server-calculated distances, and that MileageWise offers lifetime plans alongside subscriptions.
He said a change by Google to how Timeline data is stored on devices forced the company to rebuild parts of its import workflow. By 2025, the company had brought the Timeline conversion process to mobile, giving it two types of apps. Forbes Advisor listed the product as "Best for Compliance," he said.
MileageWise is privately held and does not disclose revenue, Barazsy said. He said international expansion beyond the U.S. is the next target.
