Amazon plans to release all eight episodes of the second season of "The Terminal List" on Prime Video on October 21, 2026, in more than 240 countries and territories. In a September 17, 2026, announcement, the company said the franchise had drawn more than 100 million viewers worldwide. That number should carry less weight than its size suggests.

Amazon did not state the period the figure covers, did not define what counts as a viewer, and did not say whether the total refers to people or accounts. It also did not say whether the 2025 prequel, "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf," is included. A figure that elastic can describe almost any level of engagement, and it cannot be compared with anything.

The gap matters because the franchise is being built as a long-term asset. Showrunner David DiGilio told ScreenRant the writing team mapped a decade-long plan allowing for additional seasons, prequels and spin-offs, and pointed to Jack Carr's novel "Savage Son" as possible material for a third season. Amazon has not renewed the main series.

Commitments on that scale rest on audience evidence. Streaming platforms that want their numbers treated as business data should publish the definitions behind them.
