From a summer hobby to a full-service company

Jack Vose founded Garden Guys Landscaping in 2016, according to the company's website, which traces the business back to a summer job Vose held as a high schooler, working with only basic equipment before the operation grew into a full-service landscaper working across Southern Maine. The company is now based in Cape Elizabeth. Vose studied civil and environmental engineering at the University of Maine, the website says, and it credits that training with shaping how he approaches environmental stewardship and craftsmanship on a property.

Combining design, build and year-round upkeep

The company's website says its goal is to remove the need for a property owner to hire multiple providers, offering landscape design, landscape installation, hardscape work such as patios, walkways and retaining walls, lawn care, ongoing landscape maintenance and snow removal under one company. On the commercial side, it lists grounds maintenance and snow and ice management contracts for retail centers, office parks, homeowners associations and health care facilities. The site describes its process in four steps: a visit to understand a client's vision, a tailored plan, installation by its crew, and a finished space backed by what it calls a satisfaction guarantee.

A defined Southern Maine footprint

Garden Guys Landscaping says it serves South Portland, Westbrook, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach, in addition to Portland itself, and lists transparent pricing with no hidden fees among the principles it says guide its work with clients. The website also points to strong, longstanding ties to the communities it works in across Southern Maine as part of how the company presents itself to customers.

Garden Guys Landscaping's website points to an annual food drive as part of its community involvement in the Portland area, alongside a portfolio of completed residential and commercial projects it posts for prospective customers to review before they request a quote.
