Context Labs B.V., a data infrastructure company for enterprise artificial intelligence, said on Nov. 2, 2026 that it had received a strategic investment from 22/x, an Abu Dhabi investment and incubation platform founded by the Al Nowais family, according to a company announcement distributed by PR Newswire. The size of the investment was not disclosed.
Alongside the funding, the parties agreed to a long-term arrangement under which Context Labs will open a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi and push into markets across the Middle East and North Africa, the announcement said.
Context Labs grew out of research at MIT and keeps offices in Amsterdam, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Houston and Abu Dhabi. Its platform takes in scattered operational and enterprise records, checks them cryptographically at the point of origin and tracks their lineage, so outputs from AI models can be traced back to verified sources. The company sells industry-specific data models covering sectors including energy, mining, logistics, utilities, pharmaceuticals and financial services, and a product called AI Distillery that lets customers run AI models on their own servers.
"AI is only as good as the data underneath it," said Dan Harple, founder, chairman and chief executive of Context Labs.
22/x said it would connect the company with regional compute, data and industrial partners and recruit Emirati staff for deployments.
