Noor Companies said on Oct. 15, 2026 that it had acquired FlatRate, the New York moving company founded in 1991 that built its business around guaranteed flat-rate pricing, according to a release distributed by PR Newswire. Terms were not disclosed.

The deal moves Noor, whose background is in staffing, workforce management and technology for service businesses, into logistics. FlatRate will keep operating under its own brand and plans to expand its moving, warehousing and logistics services through company-owned locations.

Noor also said it intends to open FlatRate to franchising, offering operators across the United States access to the brand and its operating model.

"FlatRate has spent 35 years building a trusted brand and a reputation for quality service," said Habib Noor, founder and sole principal of Noor Enterprise. He said the company's plan is to grow FlatRate through both company-run locations and a national franchise network while assembling a wider international logistics platform.

FlatRate's existing operations include national and international moving services.
