Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, based in Madison, N.J., said on Oct. 15, 2026, that it has granted master franchise rights for South Korea, adding separate residential and commercial operations to its international network.

The new franchises will be headquartered in the Gangnam district of Seoul and led by chief executive Myoung-Sik Kim, according to a company announcement distributed by PR Newswire. The first location to open will be a commercial brokerage office staffed by brokers already working in the market, offering acquisitions and sales, leasing, asset management, valuation, market analysis, marketing and investment advisory work. A residential arm is planned afterward.

Kim said the aim is "to help establish a new standard for professional, technology-driven and globally-connected service in Korea," pointing to the country's digital infrastructure as a base for combining artificial intelligence and property data.

Mary Lee Blaylock, president of Coldwell Banker Affiliates, said investor interest and shifting client expectations are opening opportunities in the market. The company cited tight housing supply and rising demand in hospitality, data centers and industrial property.

The brand, which dates to 1906, counts 88,000 affiliated sales professionals across more than 50 countries and territories. It is part of Compass International Holdings (NYSE: COMP). Each franchise is independently owned and operated.
