Friday, a Brooklyn-based payroll software company for small businesses, said on October 14, 2026 that it has widened its integrations program to link payroll data with accounting, insurance and retirement providers.

Under the expansion, finished payroll runs can be pushed into QuickBooks Online, with pay, employer taxes, deductions and contributions assigned to a company's accounts; desktop users can export the data and load it manually. Owners can also shop policies from more than 30 carriers through Coverdash inside Friday's admin portal, obtain a certificate of insurance or link an existing policy. Companies that already carry workers' compensation can have wage figures sent to SmartPay each pay period so premiums track actual payroll instead of an annual estimate, with setup instructions published for over 60 carrier programs. Employee deferrals and employer matches flow to a Human Interest 401(k) with each run.

Friday is also offering a self-serve partner API, webhooks and a server built on the Model Context Protocol that lets AI coding tools including Claude Code and Cursor query its API documentation directly. Sandbox and production keys remain separate.

"Most small business owners don't want another system," said Hershy Goldstein, founder and chief executive of Friday.

Accountants get a free portal covering multiple client companies. No-code links through Zapier and Make are still being built, with a waitlist open.
